Get Fit with Alex Newsletter April 2021
It was so good at the weekend to move the clocks forward and to start to enjoy what is my favourite time of the year. I really love being woken up early with birdsong and still being able to be outside later as the days get longer. We are now able to meet up outdoors with small groups of friends and family and spend time together in the garden. I am sure that over the next few months we will be trying to catch up slowly with missed birthdays and other celebrations.
The government have given a clear indication of the reduction of Covid restrictions and I am very happy to say that we can start to plan ahead for classes once again.
Initially the daytime classes can meet outside in April and will need to be weather dependent.
These will be for up to 20 people:
Thursday - ‘Light’n’Easy’ at 9.30am on Lytchett Matravers Village Green on April 22nd, 29th, May 6th and 13th
Thursday - Pilates at 9.30am on Lytchett Matravers Village Green on April 22nd, 29th, May 6th and 13th
Fridays – Pilates at 9am and 10am in Carey Hall Wareham on April 23rd, 30th, May 7th and 14th
From May 17th all classes will resume to our normal timetable and be held indoors in a Covid secure manner. Initially numbers will be up to 14 people:
Mondays – Pilates at 6.30pm and 7.30pm in Sandford Primary School on May 17th and 24th
Wednesdays – Pilates at 6.30 and 7.30pm in Sandford Primary School on May 19th and 26th
Thursdays – Light’n’Easy at 9.30am in Lytchett Matravers Village Hall on May 20th and 27th
Thursdays – Pilates at 10.30am in Lytchett Matravers Village Hall on May 20th and 27th
Fridays – Pilates at 9am and 10am in Carey Hall Wareham on May 21st and 28th
There will be no classes on the half term week of May 31st to June 5th
Classes will then run for 7 weeks up to the Summer Holidays from Monday June 7th to Friday July 23rd
Please let me know if you would like to sign up for any of the above sessions. I will confirm places and any further details with you. It will be so lovely to see you again and to workout together in a group.
I look forward to hearing from you soon

Together (in spirit) for Alzheimers 2020.’
This year, more than ever 'The Alzheimer's Society' needs our support. Fundraising has been greatly reduced due to many events being cancelled and it is vital that this great charity can continue supporting those affected by dementia and that research can be funded to fight this horrible disease.
If you would like to take part, now is the time to get your 'team' together, plan your start time and route and get training! Please let us know if you would like any advice organising your group.
Any donations can be made by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/togetherforalzheimers2020
and I am attaching a sponsor form to help with your fundraising.
It would be great if you could join in and support this great charity. We would love to see your photos and share them on our page, and if we happen to see you in the forest give us a wave!
After much planning, risk assessments and following guidelines from the Government and professional bodies, I am delighted to say that classes have all started up again this week. It has been so lovely to see friends and clients and to exercise together again. Class numbers are currently limited but please contact me if you would like to join us.
I look forward to hearing from you
